Our App - Try it for Free

Our App allows our users to keep tabs on what is going on in their local area, by monitoring local Emergency Services calls.

Our system monitors emergency calls within our coverage area and presents the information in a clean, easy to use App.

Unlike the Facebook Groups and Pages that focus on monitoring and posting emergency calls, those pages rely on people actively listening to a scanner, and taking the time to post the calls, so calls are often missed.

On some pages, the posted calls are often very cryptic, referring to Fire Department numbers, which most people do not know how to translate.

Our system is largely automated.  Our systems monitor the calls 24 x 7*, and while we may make manual updates to our system, this is not always possible, but our system allows you to listen to the original dispatch audio yourself.  No more relying upon someone else hearing it correctly, understanding what they heard, and then correctly posting it.  You can hear it first hand.

Try it out today at https://app.whereisthefire.com.  We typically offer free access to at least one of the counties that we cover.  Even if the free county of the day is not one you are interested in, you can still get a good feel for the system.  Then, if you like what you saw, visit our Patreon page at https://support.whereisthefire.com to become a supporter, and unlock access for the county of your choice.

Using The System

When you first launch the App by going to https://app.whereisthefire.com from your phone, tablet, or computer's web browser, you should (on a phone / tablet) receive a message to put an icon for the App on your main screen.  You will want to do that.

Then simply follow the on-screen instructions to get access.  Remember if you are not one of our Patreon supporters, you will have limited access to the county of the day only.  Supporters get access to the county of their choice.

Once in the App, you will be presented with a list of recent calls, with the most recent calls being on top.  You can scroll down to look at older calls as well.

For more information and to listen to the original dispatch audio from the call, simply click on the call to open up the Call Details screen, where you will see a button to play the Dispatch Audio, plus depending upon the call type and location, you may find other useful info to explore.
